I currently work as the Social Media and Video Editor for WTOP, the Edward R. Murrow Award-winning radio station serving the District of Columbia.
I previously worked as the Audience Growth & Engagement Editor of the D.C.-based alt-weekly, Washington City Paper, where I managed the news organization’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn accounts. In this role, I spearheaded the creation of the D.C. statehood newsletter and also the redesign of the City Lights newsletter.
I also served as the social media manager and food photographer / videographer for Fabio Trabocchi Restaurants. Over the course of a year, I increased followers across all five accounts (i.e., Del Mar, Fiola, Fiola Mare, Sfoglina, and Fabio at Home) by a total of 20.47 percent.
I am comfortable using Facebook Insights and Twitter Analytics to create proposals for deliberate social media posting schedules. I utilize Google Analytics in order to monitor high- and low-performing articles as well as sources of web traffic. To create social media assets, I use Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, Lightroom, and After Effects as well as Canva.
Past social media clients include Education Week, Vox Media, Alexandria Restaurant Partners, and Washington Business Journal.
Below, take a look at some of my past high-performing social media content as well as photos and video assets that I have created during my time at WTOP, Washington City Paper, Fabio Trabocchi Restaurants, and as a freelancer.
